CASE STUDY

Digital Advertising

How a Multi-Display HMI Ecosystem Transformed Public Washrooms into Dynamic, Revenue-Generating Media Hubs.

The customer is a rapidly expanding global leader in digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising and hyper-local media solutions. They specialize in transforming underutilized spaces within high-traffic venues, restaurants, and public areas into dynamic, targeted advertising platforms. Their innovative “AdFlow” network delivers context-aware content, driving engagement and measurable ROI for brands across diverse sectors.

2500-Nit, Vandal-Proof, Thermally Managed Screens

Content Deployment & Management

The Challenge

The customer was developing its ambitious “AdFlow” network, which required a highly diverse yet unified display hardware solution to serve three distinct environments: interactive restaurant table displays, passive venue wall displays, and large-format public street screens. They faced several critical challenges:

Diverse Form Factors & Functionality:

They needed displays ranging from compact, battery-powered units for restaurant tables to large, highly visible outdoor screens, each requiring unique aesthetic integration and specific functionalities (e.g., touch, extreme brightness, anti-vandalism).

Environmental Durability & Reliability:

Displays had to withstand varied commercial demands: the spills and impacts of a restaurant, the constant operation in a retail venue, and the extreme weather conditions, vandalism risk, and 24/7 exposure of outdoor public spaces.

Content Consistency & Remote Management:

A fragmented display hardware base led to inconsistencies in color, brightness, and integration challenges with their centralized content management system, making remote deployment and maintenance complex.

Aggressive Cost-at-Scale & Rapid Deployment:

To achieve their aggressive network expansion targets, they needed cost-effective, readily deployable display solutions that could be manufactured and delivered in high volumes globally.

The customer needed a display partner capable of custom engineering a comprehensive, robust, and cost-efficient display ecosystem that could scale rapidly across vastly different operational environments.

Our Solutions + Services

The customer selected Logic as their exclusive display engineering and manufacturing partner for the entire “AdFlow” network. We provided a full-spectrum solution, from custom hardware design to integrated software support.

Interactive Tabletop Displays (8” – 10” PCAP TFT)

We custom-engineered sleek, low-profile displays designed for restaurant tables. These units feature an IP67-rated, chemically-hardened cover glass to withstand spills, food particles, and rigorous cleaning. They are battery-optimized for long shifts and incorporate high-performance PCAP touch for interactive advertising.

In-Venue Wall Displays (21.5” – 32” IPS TFT)

For high-traffic areas within venues (e.g., waiting areas, lobbies), we supplied robust, slim-bezel IPS TFT displays. These units are designed for 24/7 operation, offering wide viewing angles and consistent color reproduction. Each display includes custom mounting hardware for seamless, flush integration into walls.

Public Street-Level Displays (55” – 75” Outdoor LCD)

For outdoor advertising, we developed large-format, ultra-high brightness (2500+ nit) LCD panels integrated into hermetically sealed, passively cooled enclosures with IK10 vandal-proof glass. These displays are built to operate flawlessly in direct sunlight, extreme temperatures (-30°C to +50°C), and harsh weather, ensuring maximum uptime and visibility.

Unified Display Controller & Software Support

Crucially, we provided a standardized display controller and a comprehensive API for all display types. This enabled [Customer Brand Name]’s content management system to seamlessly push synchronized, dynamic advertising across their entire network, simplifying development, deployment, and remote diagnostics.

The Final Outcome

By partnering with our customer they successfully launched and rapidly expanded its “AdFlow” network, achieving significant market penetration and opening up entirely new advertising channels.

Created New Revenue Streams & Market Share:

The unique display ecosystem allowed [Customer Brand Name] to capture advertisers seeking hyper-local, context-aware engagement, leading to a 35% year-over-year revenue growth and securing significant market share in the rapidly evolving DOOH space.

Achieved Unprecedented Durability & Uptime:

TThe ruggedization of the displays across all environments resulted in exceptional operational reliability. Damage claims for tabletop units dropped by 80%, and outdoor screen uptime exceeded 99.5%, ensuring consistent advertising delivery.

Accelerated Network Expansion:
